What We Do

Protection & Child Safeguarding Programs in Pakistan

RDO implements community-based protection and child safeguarding programs to prevent and respond to violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We strengthen local protection systems through early warning mechanisms, protection monitoring, and psychosocial support services. Our interventions prioritize the safety and dignity of women, children, refugees, and marginalized groups, ensuring access to protection services and safe community environments.

Our sustainable livelihood and economic empowerment programs aim to reduce poverty and vulnerability by creating secure income opportunities. RDO provides skills development, vocational training, enterprise support, cash assistance, and market linkages to help individuals and households rebuild their livelihoods. By integrating protection principles, we ensure that economic participation is safe, inclusive, and sustainable.

Climate Resilience &
Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)

RDO integrates climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction (DRR) into community development initiatives to reduce environmental vulnerability. Our programs promote climate-resilient livelihoods, sustainable natural resource management, and restoration of critical infrastructure in disaster-prone areas. Through preparedness planning, awareness, and community-led resilience strategies, we help protect communities from floods, climate shocks, and environmental degradation.

Education, Awareness & Community Development

Through education, awareness, and community development programs, RDO strengthens social cohesion, civic responsibility, and rights awareness. Our initiatives target children, youth, and adults to promote literacy, voter education, health awareness, and peaceful community engagement. By encouraging informed participation and inclusive dialogue, we help communities build knowledge, confidence, and collective responsibility for sustainable development.
