Signing of Project Agreement

Rural Development Organization (RDO) has signed a three-year Project Agreement with M/S Marble Factory, Buner, for the establishment of a Marble Mosaic Unit at the Rural Development Technical Institute (RDTI), Charsadda, established under the RAISE Project.

Under the collaboration, the Marble Factory will provide technical support for establishment of the Unit, training of Master Trainers, tools and consumables, as well as continued provision of suitable marble raw material and waste/offcuts for training and production. The company will also facilitate display of products developed by trained beneficiaries. RDO will manage and sustain the Unit, identify and train quarterly batches of 30 deserving youth, with at least 60% women, and support their pathways toward employment, self-employment and enterprise development.

The initiative contributes directly to RDO’s strategic priorities on Economic Development and Climate Change & Environmental Protection by combining market-oriented skills development with the productive and environmentally responsible reuse of marble-industry waste. The partnership represents another step toward strengthening private-sector linkages and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for vulnerable communities in Charsadda.
